Volunteer Shoutouts
For micronian - Thank you for teaching me about analog soundboards and sound tech stuff in general!
For Byron - Was really nice and was a great supervisor for my very first shift volunteering at DragonCon! Told me many things about the con, from where the Con suite and volunteer village was and how to go about preparing Hyatt V for sword fighting and kid’s Among Us. We also chatted a bit about commuting. Thanks for introducing me to DragonCon volunteering!
For Razeal - Thanks so much for the food, drinks, and warm welcome for us folks in Hyatt-Harris!
For Inara - Went to the meetup at Dad's Garage and Inara was great at explaining things to a bunch of us newbies during. Really appreciate it!
For Sherrie - You are awesome. Thanks for all you do.
For Baznad - did great handling the 2nd shift crowds
For Shepard - Being on top of all things DragonCon prior to the start of 2024's epic battle with the masses!
For Magikal Kitten - You were a fabulous leader today. You gave clear instructions and were supportive in every way. Bravo!
For Golden Retriever - Thank you for training me this morning and sharing your sunscreen. You were quick to answer any questions I had. I appreciate you!
For Colonel - Awesome Digital Sound Board School in the Hilton yesterday. Very informative, thorough and fun. Thanks!
For Treble Clef - Treble Clef did such an AMAZING job, as always, this year! She is such a wonderful asset to have on the Hilton team. It was my first year as Second Shift Lead and she would always reassure me that I was doing a good job. She was 110% supporting me. Thank you for all of the hard work you put in each year, Treble. It is always a pleasure to work with you and Bass!
For Aha! - Shoutout to Aha! our SpecOps Daywalker “mom” who always looks out for her team (but needs to take care of herself too!). My easy transition to this team and great first year experience is a credit to her leadership.
For Dragon - As a first time volunteer on the Atrium floor for night panels, I was unable to hear when checking in with my lead. I found Dragon and they were more than happy to help find my lead and get me orientated for the night. He was a massive help.
For Cerberus - He kept his cool while dealing with several rather entitled guests that wanted to get preferential treatment during the wait for one of the panels in International Ballrooms North/South. Very level headed and a great choice for a member of the leadership team!
For Dave - I hope this Dave is "Dave's World", pretty sure I am getting it right. Dave made my first shift at Dragoncon awesome. He instilled confidence in me and my work, provided helpful reminders/tips, and always made sure we took a moment to sit down while we were thinking on next steps.
For ZOMBERT - You rock!!
For Jaster - Lifts you up, makes you feel as an integral part of the team. You feel they have faith and confidence in you
For Captain Adam - Being on top of all things DragonCon prior to the start of 2024's epic battle with the masses!
For Church - Church has been awesome working through scheduling things. She is conscientious, caring, and competent.
For Bass Clef - Bass Clef - you are such a rock star! Thank you for all of your hard work this year and every year! You are such a strong-willed individual that DOES NOT like to take breaks but will eventually take them when forced to go to Tech Ops to "return" something to only be put on a timer for a forced break. Thank you for all of your hard work. I can't wait to work with you again!
